A Christian University was opened officially yesterday, on January 28, 2023, in Coatepeque, Guatemala, Central America, by Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at IMS, the web site of the General Conference at IMS announced via video clip: https://www.facebook.com/tzvetan.petkov.7. In his speech before the opening of the Christian college, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov emphasized the need of trustworthy and honest well educated persons in the world and the importance of God’s wisdom by mentioning Lord’s word in Proverbs 3:13-14 and wished to the Christian University God’s blessing presence in its rooms and fulfillment of the promise in Haggai 2:7 – “And what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty”. The newly opened Christian scientific college will work in alliance with the Regional University in Coatepeque, Guatemala. In addition, a reorganization conference for God’s work at IMS in Guatemala was held under the motto “Watched and Be Ready” during the week before the opening of the Christian University.
Furthermore, in the beginning of the Sabbath worship which SMI Latinoamerica transmitted via video clip: https://fb.watch/ilYdytIACo/, Pastor Humberto Avellaneda, General Conference Vice President at IMS, who also took part in the event, prayed to the Lord that He might bless two needed children. The National Christian choir of Guatemala and children praised the Lord with songs. In his sermon, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov revealed the Christ’s instruction that the preparation for the heavenly kingdom includes three components – baptism with water, with the Holy Spirit and with fire, as well as accepting the faith, the hope and the love of Jesus. In addition, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov invited interested souls to come in front that a prayer might be directed to God for them. Pastor Danilo Monterroso, Leader of the Division Latin America, prayed for 65 interested souls who came in front.
