Pastor Neftali Lizana Julca from the Peruvian Union at the IMS fell asleep in the Lord on the day before yesterday, August 17, 2026; and his death was provoked by cardiac arrest, Pastor Jony Cotrina Delgado, General Conference First Secretary at the IMS, confirmed. According to the Facebook profile Aminiasdimor – UP, Pastor Neftali Lizana suffered a stroke last Sabbath as well. This faithful Pastor who served God in the missionary district Pomacochas, a Peruvian locality situated at an altitude of 2225 m above sea level, with a population of 2044 inhabitants in 1993, capital of the Florida district, in the Bongará province, Department of Amazonas, was born on July 6, 1992, in the Department of Cajamarca, Peru.
Despite his death approximately at the age of Christ and John the Baptist, Pastor Neftali Lizana had a successful life in the faith of Christ: between 2011 and 2014, he completed his studies at the EMINEL Missionary School, then he served as a missionary, including secretary, treasurer and Evangelism Department Director, in the South Association. In 2021, Pastor Neftali Lizana married to Sister Marielita Quiroz Chiquin, and their beautiful daughter was born, the Facebook profile Aminiasdimor – UP revealed. Our consolation is the Lord’s Word in Psalm 116:15 – “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” which is a noble reference to God’s promise about the eternal life on the day of Christ’s second coming.
