Five souls, five sisters in the faith of Jesus, were baptized in Lesotho, Southern Africa, in October 2023, within a seven days long Christian missionary tent campaign, Brother Michael Rantai, Lesotho Field Secretary, confirmed on January 15, 2024, quoted yesterday by the Secretarial Department at the International Missionary Society (IMS). In addition, the Lesotho Field develops a Christian missionary work with radio programs and visits in the prisons where 200 inmates have the opportunity to hear the Word of God.
Lesotho, officially the Kingdom of Lesotho with its capital and largest city Maseru, a landlocked country in Southern Africa, situated in the Maloti Mountains, has a territory of more than 30,000 km2 (11,600 sq mi), a population of approximately 2 million citizens, and comprises Thabana Ntlenyanam, the highest point in southern Africa at 3,482 m.
Formed in 1822 by King Moshoeshoe I, Lesotho became a British protectorate in 1868 and gained its independence in 1966.
