More than 2000 people lost their lives in the 7.7 magnitude quake with the epicenter near Mandalay, Myanmar’s second largest city, which hit the region, including Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, March 28, 2025, Associated Press (AP) confirmed quoting local media on Sabbath, April 1, 2025. This disaster is a part of the sign for the Christ’s second coming written in Matthew 24:7 – “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” According to Ecclesiastes 7:14, we should consider which kind of cry reached the Most High in that case, if we may pаraphrase Genesis 18:20-21, that He allowed this natural catastrophe.
According to the UNAIDS (Joint United Nations Program on HIV and AIDS) regarding Myanmar (also known as Burma), there are “66,000 prostitutes in the country”, including women and children. According to the Wikipedia, “Myanmar is a major source of prostitutes (an estimate of 25,000–30,000) in Thailand”, whereat “sixty percent of Burmese prostitutes are under 18 years of age”. In addition, the United States Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons classifies Myanmar as a ‘Tier 3’ country. However, the earthquake disaster is a confirmation of God’s Word in Isaiah 59:2 as well – “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
