A Christian conference of the Southeast Field, part of the American Union at the IMS, was held under the motto “Hold the Words of the Sound Doctrine” (2 Timothy 1:13) in the second part of last month in Norman Park, Georgia, USA, Brother Wikler Moran confirmed via Facebook by publishing a video with two Christian sermons at the conference on October 23, 2026: “The Danger of the Covetousness and the Egoism” by Pastor Pastor Antonio de la Rosa and “Wakening the Church” by Pastor Uldarico Alejos: https://www.facebook.com/wikler.moran/videos/919314061114984/?rdid=AWBXP8m1OhVS1CJk.
In his sermon, Pastor Antonio de la Rosa underlined the humbleness and faithfulness of Christ, according to the Lord’s Word in Matthew 16:24, as a remedy against the egoism and the pride revealed in the character of the enemy in Isaiah 14:12-15 and Ezekiel 28:11-19. In addition, Pastor Antonio de la Rosa emphasized that, according to the testimony of the Spirit of Prophesy, the character of the believer who has not overcome the covetousness and the egoism cannot be complete in Christ.
In his sermon, Pastor Uldarico Alejos specified that the life of a Christian is a process that that starts with the faith of Christ and continues with adding other virtues of the Savior to it. However, if the adding of the virtues does not happen, this means that we have left our first love and built our house on the sand. Thus, this person is in the danger of a gradually coming disaster, loosing sight of Christ. Pastor Uldarico Alejos mentioned the testimony of the Spirit of Prophecy that the lack of spiritual growth and the love of Christ in the church is an illness, the formalism (‘Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof” – 2 Timothy 3:5) , that should be healed, because the formalism reveals the habits without Christ, the life of the old man. But the true Christian life shines with purity and sanctification, and the question arises: “Have we maintained our relation to the Spring of life?”, especially for the pastors and the leaders, because the true faith elevates the spirit of the hearer, and we should not be passive, but active, just as Paul the apostle, according to John 14:12, Pastor Uldarico Alejos concluded.
