In 1990, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at the IMS, at that time serving the Lord faithfully as a Bible worker, invited Brother Georgi Tkachoff who was his colleague of the same age group at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, to attend the Christian worship in the local church of the IMS. And Brother Georgi Tkachoff was a faithful friend of the Truth over the 36 years to this day.
On September 30, 2026, Brother Georgi Tkachoff was baptized and on Sabbath, October 3, 2026, he was accepted into the local church at the IMS in Sofia, Bulgaria, by Pastor Dimitar Vlachkov, Bulgarian Field President at the IMS.
“During my first visit in the church, I wondered about the often prayers of the church members. But today, my greatest longing is to pray to God and to pour out my soul before the Lord, because the prayer relieves me from my troubles”, Brother Georgi Tkachoff said after his acceptance into the church.
The joy for the adding the brother to God’s church lets us remember the divine instruction that our “labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).
