Sister Vasilka Yakimova from the Bulgarian Field at the IMS reached yesterday, on Friday, September 18, 2026, her 100th year of life, well informed sources confirmed. Sister Vasilka Yakimova was born in the village of Lopyan, Etropole municipality, Bulgaria, however, she lives in a suburb of the city of Kyustendil, Bulgaria. Even today, at the age of 100, she takes part in the Christian praising God via declaiming Christian poems by heart.

Sister Vasilka Yakimova is a person who has many talents given by God – she writes Christian poems, she has received literary awards from Bulgarian national literary competitions, and she has also ‘gifts of helps’ (1 Corinthians 12:28) like the patriarch Job (Job 29:15) and our merciful Lord Jesus Christ has granted her an age similar to that of Job as well.
