An international Christian youth conference, organized by the Swiss Field and the German Union at the IMS, was held successfully in the village of Sonogno, Switzerland, from December 26, 2024, to January 2, 2025, well informed sources confirmed. Sixty participants from different countries, such as Germany, Italy, Greece, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Switzerland, attended the event. The young people who participated in the international Christian conference had the privilege to enjoy the beautiful nature and the tasty vegan food. The spiritual food was excellent as well – Pastor Jose Vicente Giner, one of the best Christian ministers at the IMS, preached the main sermon on Sabbath, December 28, 2024.
Sonogno, first mentioned in 1200 as Sornono, a village with a population of 86 inhabitants, as of 2018, and former municipality in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland, is located in Valle Verzasca, and on October 17, 2020, the former municipalities of Vogorno, Sonogno, Corippo, Brione (Verzasca) and Frasco merged to form the new municipality of Verzasca. And the last, but not least: All motor vehicles are required to park at the entrance to the village.
