An important study about the Holy Spirit was revealed during the Christian Ministerial Symposium in the middle of this month in Honduras, Central America, by Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at the IMS, the Facebook site IMS SDA GC announced via two video published: https://www.facebook.com/imssdarmgc/videos/1778537612879847 and https://www.facebook.com/imssdarmgc/videos/352064317493798. The event was organized by the Field of Honduras at the IMS.
Pastor Tzvetan Petkov explained in a noble and profound way the true biblical meaning of God’s working within the plan of salvation via the three living persons of the heavenly trio – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Pastor Tzvetan Petkov emphasized that these three living persons have, according to God’s Word, different functions in the plan of our salvation: the gifts are distributed and determined by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:11), the services, the positions, are distributed by Christ (Proverbs 8:15-16), and all things are under the power of God Father (Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44).
In addition, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov underlined the biblical truth that the subject about the Holy Spirit as a person (2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:30) is not the Roman doctrine called Trinity and it should be accepted as it is written in the Holy Scripture (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Furthermore, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov explained the biblical terms for the sin (iniquity, rebellion and transgression) as a part of the subject on the human nature taken by Christ and Christ’s victory over the sin.
Aside from that, Pastor Pablo Hunger, Leader of the Evangelism Department at the IMS, presented his speech about the practical methods of Christ in gaining the hearts, the minds and the wills of the people for the gospel by public activities with tactfulness, help in the persons’ needs and prayer.
