Four young people, three brothers and a sister in the faith of Jesus, were baptized recently in Los Ángeles, Chile, during a youth conference, the Facebook site SMI Latinoamerica announced today, on January 14, 2024. Pastor Habimelec Hernández had the privilege to baptize two of his sons during the youth conference, the Facebook site SMI Latinoamerica added. The city of Los Ángeles, the capital of the province Bío Bío, located between the Laja and Bíobío rivers in the center-south part of Chile, has a population of 186,671 inhabitants, according to the 2012 census.
Los Ángeles, founded as Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles (Our Lady of the Angels) in 1739 by José Antonio Manso de Velasco, was in the beginning a Spanish fort which received the title of villa in 1748. The city which is known as a gateway for tourists visiting the nearby Laguna del Laja National Park, the location of the the 2,979 meters (9,774 feet) high Antuco volcano, comprises an area of 1,748.2 km2 (675 sq mi) and is served by Maria Dolores Airport.
