Two souls, two sisters in the faith of Jesus, were baptized yesterday, on January 6, 2024, in Abidjan, the largest city and the economic capital of the Ivory Coast, a country on the southern coast of West Africa, consecrated elder Allamon Finagnon Bruno, Côte d’Ivoire Mission Field President who performed the baptism, confirmed. Yesterday, the local temperature in Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire, was 32 degrees Celsius.

Cote d’ Ivoire became a protectorate of France in 1843 and was consolidated as a French colony in 1893, while the independence was achieved in 1960 under the leadership of Felix Houphouȅt-Boigny who ruled the country until 1993. After a coup d’état in 1999 and two civil wars – first between 2002 and 2007, and then during 2010-2011, Republic of Cote d’ Ivoire adopted a new constitution in 2016.
