One soul, our sister in the faith of Jesus Margarita Suárez, was baptized yesterday, on Sabbath, November 18, 2023, on the Cypress Point Beach in Tampa, Florida, USA, by Pastor Idel Suárez, American Union President at IMS, Brother Wikler Moran, who attended the event, announced on Facebook, quoting the graceful words of Christ in Mark 16:16, first part: “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved”.

The daily temperature in Tampa, USA, was yesterday 21 degree Celsius which is, of course, the perfect temperature for a Christian baptism. Just for comparison, the daily temperature in the village of Oymyakon, Russia, was yesterday minus 25 degrees Celsius, and the daily temperature on the East Antarctica Plateau, the coldest place on Earth according to NASA, reached yesterday even minus 41 degrees Celsius.

The city of Tampa, which had last year a population of 398,173 citizens, was home to 185 civilians, or 974 total inhabitants including military personnel, in 1850. Earlier, on January 18, 1849, Tampa was officially added to the United States as the “Village of Tampa”, and on December 15, 1855, it was recognized as a town. Ten years earlier, on March 3, 1845, Florida became the 27th state of the United States.
