One more soul, the sister in the faith of Christ Sara Garcia, was baptized yesterday, on June 19, 2022, in the town of Nuevtas, a port town in the Camagüey Province of Cuba, by Pastor Jesús Bailey, Sister Anaelsie Pertuondo González announced on Facebook. Sister Sara Garcia was born in an Adventist family, her mother, a woman who is well advanced in years, is an Adventist as well, Sister Anaelsie Pertuondo González added. With this new member of the local church, the whole number of the members in Cuba reached 81.
Founded in 1775 and located on the Guincho peninsula on the north coast, Nuevitas is not a very large city, its population amounts to 44 882 citizens, as of the census in 2004, however, it is one of Cuba’s most important towns because of its commercial and industrial activities. Sister cities of Nuevitas are Benalmádena, Andalusia, Spain, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
