Eight souls were baptized in the Msakuzi church at the IMS, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa, on February 4, 2026, as a direct result of last year’s evangelistic crusade, Brother Josiah Daniel, Church Leader of the Msakuzi church at the IMS, announced today, on May 8, 2026, Earlier, in September 2025, two souls were baptized during the Christian missionary crusade, Brother Josiah Daniel added.
Msakuzi is a residential quarter and a village in the Ubungo District, Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania. Dar-Es-Salaam, which literally means ‘the house of peace”, had in the past the name Mzizma and was Tanzania’s capital until 1974. With its nearly 4,465 million inhabitants, as of the official 2012 census, Dar-Es-Salaam is the largest Swahili-speaking city and one of the fastest growing cities in the world.
Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania, a country within the African Great Lakes region, which gains its independence from the UK on December 9, 1961, has a population of around 67.5 million citizens, according to a 2024 estimate, and a total area of 947, 303 square kilometers.
