Pastor Larry Watts, who 2023 was elected as member of the Ministerial Board at the SMI, published a reel on July 11, 2026 (https://www.facebook.com/reel/1030026039433705) together with his nephew Steve who mentioned a sign from Daniel 13 fulfilled through the creation by US-President Trump a Religious Liberty Commission whose 224-page draft report at the end of June 2026 suggested replacing the separation of church and state, a principle in the First Amendment protecting free exercise of religion by stopping the government from enforcing an official church, with building bridges between them, the Secretarial Department at the General Conference of the IMS confirmed.
According to Steve, the proposal about the removal of the separation of church and state was the first step of a development which would lead to recreating the Roman image of Inquisition (Revelation 13:15) and issuing the Sunday Law many researchers considered as the mark of the beast found in Revelation 13:16-18. In addition, Steve underlined that people faithful to Christ’s principle of separation of church and state (Mark 12:17) should correct today the harming proposal of the Religious Liberty Commission just as the Sunday-Rest bill introduced on May 21, 1888, by senator Henry W. Blair, was rejected by a noble majority.
