A state of emergency was declared in Peru, South America, last week, on Monday, March 17, 2025, in the capital Lima by the Peruvian President Mrs. Dina Boluarte due to the killing the popular singer Paul Flores by the street gang which wanted to rob his money during his traveling by bus back from a concert, together with his music band, Associated Press (AP) revealed on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Approximately 459 inhabitants were slain from January 1, to March 16, 2025, according to the police which announced 1,909 reports of extortion in January alone, AP added.
These events in the South American state of Peru, which is the home of the IMS’ greatest Christian Union with over 6000 church members, are a confirmation of Christ’s prediction in Matthew 24:12 – “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” However, in the next verse, the Savior gives the promise: “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” And this achievement could be reached in the context of Christ’s prophecy in Matthew 28:20 about His remaining in us.
