Countries in Central and Eastern Europe, such as Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Romania, were hit by the rain storm Boris causing death toll of 23 victims and an unprecedented destruction amounting to more than EUR six billions in Austria only, because of the flooding, https://orf.at/ confirmed last week.

In addition, the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk invited his colleagues, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, the Premiers of Slovakia and the Czech Republic Robert Fico and Petr Fiala, together with the President of the EU-Commission Ursula von der Leyen, on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Wrocław, Poland, in order to discuss safety precautions against rain flooding and the reconstruction after the devastating natural disaster, the Austrian Press Agency, https://apa.at/ (APA) announced.

The comfort in this storm is the fact that this natural disaster, besides similar events in China (Typhoon Gaemi on July 30,2024) and India (cyclone Remal in the last week of May, 2024),  is a sign of the Second Coming of Christ, according to Luke 21:25, second part – “and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves”.
