A Christian marriage was celebrated in the Bukavu Field in the north-east of Congo (Democratic Republic of Congo) on September 28, 2022, Brother Steven Ngoboka from Rwanda reported on October 11, 2022, cited by the Secretarial Department at IMS on November 7, 2022. Bukavu, a city in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, located at the extreme south-western edge of Lake Kivu, west of Cyangugu in Rwanda, and separated from it by the outlet of Ruzizi River, is the capital of the South Kivu province and has a population of 806, 940, as of 2012, while n 2021 the urban population reached 1, 133, 000.

The city which has many schools and universities, including the Official University of Bukavu, founded in 1993, is also home to the Panzi Hospital, founded in 1921.
