Lord’s Supper was celebrated in Rwanda, Africa, on September 10, 2022, after a long lock-down provoked by the Covid 19 pandemic situation in the country, Pastor Steven Ngoboka, Rwanda Field President, announced via e-mail. Earlier, on February 27, 2022, ten souls were baptized in the Field of Rwanda, Pastor Steven Ngoboka added. The Christian conference was held until October 11, 2022, in the town of Gisenyi, the occidental province of Rwanda, and comprised 310 participants, including 65 candidates for baptism with baptism exam passed.
Gisenyi, historically rendered as Kisenyi, a town in the Rubavu district in the Western Province of Rwanda, has about 30 public and private schools, including nursery, primary and secondary schools, and features a resort on the shores of Lake Kivu, with several hotels and three sandy beaches. Gisenyi’s campus of Kigali Independent University had an enrollment of 3413 students in the 2012-2013 academic year in faculties like Economics and Business Studies, Social Sciences, and Law. University of tourism Technology and Business studies (UTB) previously called RTUC also has a Gisenyi campus.
